Our residents are a diverse mix of professionals 55+ from the performing arts and allied industries – a vast array of front-of-house, back-of-house, off-stage, on-stage, on-set and off-set professions that work together to produce, perform and promote the artistic efforts that amuse, entertain, inspire and engage us.
That means everyone from singers to stage hands, from electricians to architects have found a place at PAL. What unites our residents is a deep need for creative expression, a shared sensibility about the importance of community, and, most notably perhaps, a profound sense of gratitude for having a safe, supportive, and affordable place to live.
Our unique building includes a small number of “near-market” rentals and “life-leases”. Through this revenue – and the substantial and generous financial support provided from our donors each year – we are able to offer a range of rental assistance to more than 75% of the people living in our building.
In our Profiles section, you’ll meet a few of the residents who contribute to PAL in a number of different ways – and hear what PAL Vancouver gives to them in return.
