We Are 80% of the Way There!
Please Support Affordable Housing at PAL by December 31st! Together We Will Reach Our 2015 Rental Assistance Goal. To make your important contribution and receive a 100% charitable tax receipt please
With no government support, PAL must raise $200,000 annually to cover the gap between rental income and our mortgage payment.
Your important donation safeguards PAL’s low-income and disabled residents against the real threat of homelessness because their rents are limited to 33% of their income.
PAL’s residents are actors, writers, musicians, technicians, producers, directors and designers from every branch of the arts professions. Some are pioneers of Canada’s cultural history and are recipients of the Order of Canada, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards and distinguished international, provincial and civic honours. But many live below the poverty line and 50% of PAL residents who require rental assistance have incomes below $18,000 annually. Some rely on food banks to make ends meet.
Please show your support for the creative and fragile community founded in 2006 by the remarkable Canadian theatre artists: Joy Coghill and Jane Heyman. PAL’s residents devoted their lives to inspiring audiences. Your donation reminds longstanding contributors to the arts and cultural fabric of our city how much their work continues to matter.
